A grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) system provides reliable energy supply from the sun. Photons from the sun create an electrical charge on an array of solar modules. The modules are connected to an inverter, which converts direct current (DC) into alternate current (AC) which is fed into the local electric grid.
On-grid PV installations can differ in size from small installations for residential houses with only a few Kilowatts of power to large-scale Megawatt power plants. Conergy has installed over 5,000 turn-key systems worldwide, including the world’s largest roof-top power plant of 10MWp capacity for Michelin tyre manufacturer in Germany. Closer to home, Conergy has as installed Asia’s largest 20MW solar park in Seoul. This massive project produces more than 27,000 megawatt of electricity per annum and is an important step towards sustainable and clean energy production in Korea.

Benefits
- Save on electricity costs
- Contribute to a cleaner environment
- Decrease dependency on fossil energy sources which are depleting and increasing in costs
