Environment

Conergy Renewable Energy Singapore recognises that business operations contribute significantly to the inefficient use of energy and resources and strives to minimize its environmental footprint by implementing the following:

  • Use of energy-saving light bulbs and motion-sensor lighting
  • Duplex paper printouts on 100% recycled paper
  • Provision of reusable shopping bags to all employees
  • Eliminating paper and styrofoam (disposable) kitchenware
  • Switching off computer monitors and electronics when not in use
  • Switching off air-conditioning after office hours
  • Recycling of unwanted paper for single-sided printouts
  • Encouraging employees to recycle by making recycling bins ubiquitous

We encourage awareness and information exchange on environmental sustainability topics by getting colleagues involved in a "Green Team" initiative, which aims to actively educate and inspire through weekly newsletters and "Eco-mails" circulated region-wide. Our "Green Board" in the office also serves as an additional platform for posting ideas, news and the latest research on clean energy and climate change. In addition, many of us use our time away from the office to be actively involved in external initiatives – such as the Green Drinks Singapore discussions. In doing so, we allow our employees to play a bigger part by ‘living’ as well as ‘working’ toward a sustainable future.
